The estate is comprised of two important parcels of land, each with its own lake. In the early 1930s, Archie Hodgson and his wife Anne purchased the first 400 acres surrounding Murray Lake, adding adjacent forests over the years, including Lake Castor, to enhance and protect the estate until it reached the current total size of 920 acres.

Their children, the present owners, are offering the estate in two major parcels, (Murray Lake parcel of 500 acres, Lake Castor parcel of 380 acres) but are flexible in their approach and would prefer selling both parcels to the same buyer to keep the estate intact for future generations. Through consistent forestry management, the ecosystem is healthy and completely restored from its farming and logging heritage.
